Why did my card payment fail?

There is a law in Indonesia that requires all online card payments with foreign cards to be enabled for 3DS payments. It is a security measurement to protect credit and debit card transactions for online payments. Usually when you make a payment you have to enter a code7token or authorize the payment in your online banking. You need to tell your guests to enable 3DS with their bank.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, based on past experiences and the potential impact on other guests, we are unable to accommodate pets at our property.

Who is Batur Cabins for?

Our cabins offer the perfect escape for those looking to disconnect and relax in this tranquil and authentic part of Bali. With spectacular views, the cabins are designed to make the most of the surrounding scenery.

Please note that reaching our property requires a 150-meter downhill walk, so a basic level of fitness is necessary.

Batur Cabins is ideal for those seeking peace and nature, but it may not be suitable for people interested in nightlife and entertainment or those who are uncomfortable with nature or have difficulty walking to the property.

The best time to stay at Batur Cabins?

 

In general Kintamani is a great area to visit throughout the year given it’s drier climate. However as there are more clouds during the peak of rainy season the views might be best from January to November.

Do you rent scooters/
a car?

We are happy to arrange a rental scooter for you to explore the area on your own. If you don’t feel comfortable using the scooter, we are happy to arrange a car with a driver (English speaking guide) to help you get around the area and visit many places worth seeing.

Is it safe?

​We are located in a very safe area where everyone looks out for each other. Our team is on-site daily from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM and lives nearby at night. All cabins can be securely locked from the inside.

What about animals?

Batur Cabins is situated in a lush, green area where the local fauna and flora flourish, surrounded by vibrant village life. Be prepared to hear the sounds of crickets at sunset and the occasional rooster crow in the morning. We provide earplugs for guests who are sensitive to noise.

What about volcanic activity?

Mount Batur is an active volcano. However it is considered completely safe to climb by the Indonesia’s Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation.

Check-in and check-out times?

Check-in time is 2pm and check-out time is 12pm. If you have a late arrival please inform our team, however we recommend to arrive before it gets dark.

Do you have wifi?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. The average speed is 45-50 mbps (depending on your location), more than enough for social media or video calls.

Is there AC?

Yes, all cabins are equipped with air conditioning, however you will most likely not need it due to the cooler climate up in Kintamani.

Non-smoking rooms?

All our cabins are non-smoking, however smoking on your private terrace as well as the communal fire place is permitted.

What dining options are there?

For now we only serve breakfast which is included in your booking. We currently don’t offer lunch or dinner, however you can order food from two excellent restaurants nearby until 6.30pm that our team will get for you each day at 7pm or you can dine out.

Kintamani boasts a wide range of fantastic restaurants to explore, offering everything from authentic local dishes to Western cuisine with their own bakeries. There’s something for everyone to enjoy.

What about food allergies

Yes, we cater to dietary preferences with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Please inform our team before hand and be as specific as possible to make sure everything will be exactly the way you need it.

Is the hotel family friendly?

Children under 12 are not permitted to stay at Batur Cabins. Our cabins are meticulously designed to offer guests an unforgettable experience. Located on the slope of a mountain, the cabins are elevated on columns to provide the best possible views. As a result, most of our cabins and facilities are several meters above the ground, making them unsuitable for young children.

Children aged 12 and above are welcome to stay with us when accompanied by an adult.
